Meet the Team
When Alex Freeman, a freshly graduated Professor at the now defunct Clifton Institute of Paranormal Investigation and Apparitional Sciences (www.cipias.org.uk), met new recruits Tim and Harry, a bond would form between them that has lasted over a decade and a half.
After the mysterious disappearance of their mentor, the institute's founder Dr Maurice Aspall, and the closure of CIPIAS, Alex and the others decamped to an industrial unit on the edge of Withywood to continue their research, experiments and public services.
In the years that have followed, the small but perfectly formed team have been tinkering and tracking, reading and researching to develop unique techniques to capture evidence of hauntings and paranormal activity, working hard to vanquish the area's more troubling geists and demons.
Now, with their research funding being cut by the city council, and back street exorcisms not paying what they used to, the team have been forced to set up a walking tour and share classified secrets and stories that, like the spirits the team hunt, haven't seen the light of day in some time.

Call us immediately! We stay within the first location for 15 minutes, then move to the churchyard. Much later than that and you'll miss the key investigations - but we'll try to help you catch up with the group.

Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, an open mind, and something to capture evidence! We provide all PDT equipment, but feel free to bring your own EMF detectors.
Ghosts don't mind the rain, and neither do we! Tours run in most weather conditions. However, if severe weather warnings are issued, we'll reschedule for safety.
No problem! The route is mostly flat with alternative paths for any steps. The spirits are very accommodating. Feel free to contact us beforehand to discuss any specific requirements.
Absolutely! Our tours have frequent stops for investigations and readings. The pace is designed for thorough paranormal research, not speed walking.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome! In fact, many animals are more sensitive to paranormal activity than humans - your dog might detect something we miss.
We can't guarantee visual manifestations - spirits are notoriously unpredictable! However, our PDT equipment consistently picks up unexplained readings, and many guests report unusual experiences.
While extremely rare, we do carry emergency sage and have contacts for professional exorcism services (though as mentioned, this is now outsourced and quite expensive).
Completely safe for humans! Our Phantom Detection Technology operates on frequencies that only affect ectoplasmic entities. We've had no reported side effects (that we're legally allowed to discuss).
Highly unlikely, but if our missing mentor does manifest, please remain calm and let us handle the situation. We still have unresolved research questions for him.
Unfortunately, our bank doesn't recognize ectoplasm as legal tender. We accept standard payment methods only - the supernatural economy isn't quite there yet!
